Peewees will practice 2-4 times per week, with some weekend games and tournament opportunities. Players will improve skating, agility, stick handling and use of legal body contact during this critical stage for acquisition of hockey skills. Improved group interaction, team building, gaining awareness of team play are outcomes. Players will start learning to transfer skills and concepts from practice to games. USA Hockey 12 & under skill progression and ADM practice plans will be utilized.

All Peewee aged PYHA registered players (birth year 2005 & 2006) are eligible to try out for the PeeWee Travel Team. The team will participate in the Inland Northwest Hockey League B division, and will play an additional 12 games to the 12 games played with their house team.
The team roster 15 - 17 players that travel and compete for PYHA on this team. Players who are not selected may be asked to practice with the team at a lower fee than those who travel will pay (fees to cover practice ice only). Practices will be on Tuesdays, 4:00 – 5:00 PM in Moscow.
Tryout dates will October 10 & 12 from 6:00 -7:00pm in Lewiston.
Only PYHA registered players born in 2004 or 2005 are eligible to play or practice with the team. Travel team members must fulfill their obligation to their PYHA House Teams in order to maintain eligibility for the Travel Team.
Costs – The team will play in one tournament as the travel team in addition to House Team tournaments. Costs will be around $65 per player, per tournament. The extra hour of ice time will cost each player around $200 for the season. There will be some additional costs for the additional league games in the Inland Northwest Hockey League. All of these costs are not expected up front and are in addition to normal PYHA dues.
